Chip "and" Dale are two animated chipmunks which created by The Walt Disney Company. Their name is based on the name "Chippendale". Initially, both have the nose same color, but to distinguish them, Chip was given a black nose and Dale was given a red nose. According to Disney, Chip is the logical schemer, and Dale is the goofy, dim-witted one. The chip is also described as having fine, short fur atop his head and Dale tend to be ruffled.
